As West Augustine residents, witnessing this milestone event was both personal and meaningful. The new Health & Wellness Center represents a crucial step toward bridging gaps in healthcare access for our community. We were thrilled to capture the excitement and hope in the air as leaders like Mark Bailey, Greg White, and Joy Andrews spoke about the center’s potential to improve physical and mental health resources for everyone.

Diego, a former cardiovascular nurse, and I, with a graduate certificate in public health, understand firsthand the importance of accessible healthcare. Our backgrounds have given us insight into how vital it is to address health disparities, particularly in underserved communities like ours. We share Greg White's vision of "patching that hole" in healthcare access, aiming to close gaps that too often leave communities like West Augustine behind.
